Chrome board

This material consists of paper whose surface is sealed with a binding agent. This binding agent application is also called a coating, which is why chromo board is also referred to as coated paper. Applying a binding agent makes the surface more stable and smoother. This improves robustness and has a positive effect on the print image. Printing on this very smooth surface impresses with its high level of detail reproduction and thus generally offers excellent quality. We offer two different types of chromo board. Counter displays made of GC2 board are available in a grammage of 280 g/m² and a thickness of 0.52 mm. The front is white and smooth, while the back is natural-coloured and slightly roughened. GC1 cardboard has a higher grammage of 325 g/m² with the same material thickness, making it particularly tear- and bend-resistant. Unlike GC2 cardboard, both sides are white, while the back is slightly roughened.


Grass cardboard

This material consists of 96 per cent recycled fibre and 4 per cent grass. Its special feature is its sustainability. Compared to trees, grass is a very fast-growing raw material that can be planted almost anywhere and consumes far fewer resources such as water and energy. In addition, no chemical additives are used in the production of our grass cardboard. This results in significantly lower emissions during production. The grass cardboard has a grammage of 325 g/m² and a thickness of 0.52 mm. Both the front and back are slightly roughened.

Recycled cardboard

With a material thickness of 0.59 mm and a grammage of 400 g/m2, this cardboard is also extremely sturdy and offers protection against bending and tearing. In addition, GD2 recycled cardboard consists of 99 per cent recycled fibre. The front side is white and smooth, while the back side is white and slightly roughened.


Cellulose cardboard

Counter displays made from this cardboard consist exclusively of cellulose fibres sourced from sustainably managed forests. The front and back of GZ cardboard are smooth and bright white. With a high grammage of 450 g/m² and a material thickness of 0.52 mm, our cellulose cardboard is extremely sturdy and durable.

Natural brown cardboard

The unbleached brown cardboard has a grammage of 400 g/m² and a thickness of 0.56 mm. It consists of 50 per cent recycled fibres and has a smooth front and a slightly roughened back.


Natural black cardboard

Unlike the brown version, this cardboard has a grammage of 350 g/m² and a thickness of 0.46 mm. It is also unbleached and uncoated. The deep black colour looks particularly elegant on Counter displays and attracts attention.
Sustainability is important to us. That is why all the materials we use are recyclable and compostable and come from sustainable forestry.

Plug-in base or automatic base?

We offer our display packaging with two different base systems: The counter displays with plug-in bases are cheaper, but the base has to be assembled by hand. This step is not necessary with the counter displays with automatic bases: The cardboard is already glued in such a way that the base pops up automatically when unfolded and closes again when folded. This has several advantages:

  • The shelves are very sturdy and therefore particularly suitable for heavy products.
  • The fastener is more durable because, unlike manual hinged bases, the material is not subjected to as much stress.
  • Counter displays can be set up and filled very quickly. This is particularly useful when large quantities are involved.

Optional features for Counter displays:

Protective coating: To protect the material and, above all, the print image from external influences such as dirt, scratches or moisture, we recommend applying a protective coating. This also ensures an even more striking print image – whether matt or glossy. Cardboard coated with protective lacquer can still be easily labelled.

Protective laminates: Applying a protective film makes your product even more resistant to external influences. However, the protective laminate makes subsequent labelling more difficult.

Production methods:

Depending on your requirements, you can choose between two punching methods. While the conventional punching method is suitable for large quantities, laser punching is the better choice for smaller order quantities. The difference: with the conventional method, a punching tool must first be created due to the free format. This is available to you free of charge for your next order in the same size. This step is not necessary when laser cutting your Counter displays.

  • Our Counter displays can only be ordered in free formats. All combinations are possible within the following ranges:
  • Length: 45 to 400 mm
  • Width: 34 to 250 mm
  • Height: 35 to 300 mm

Print configurations for optimal printing results

In order to guarantee the best possible quality, you should pay attention to a few details when creating the print file:

  • Wandle deine Schriften in Vektorpfade um oder bette sie ein.
  • Im Digitaldruck können keine Pantone-Farben verwendet werden. Diese werden automatisch ins CYMK-System umgewandelt.
  • Folgende Formate können ebenfalls nicht von unserer IT gelesen werden: .docx / .ppt / .ai / .eps / .jpg / .png / .tiff Übermittle uns daher deine Druckdaten als PDF im Format PDF/X-4:2010.
  • Verwende keinen RGB-, sondern immer den CYMK Farbraum.
  • Sind im Druckdokument Bilder eingebettet, so muss deren Auflösung mindestens 300dpi betragen.
  • Achte darauf, dass die Schriftgröße mindestens 6pt beträgt.
  • Die Linienstärke sollte mindestens 0,5 pt betragen.
  • Schwarze Formen, Linien, Farbflächen und sonstige Elemente immer mit 100% K anlegen (0C / 0M / 0Y / 100K).
  • Der Sicherheitsabstand zur Stanze sowie der Randbeschnitt sollte im Druckdokument 3 mm betragen.
