Some of our materials are fully recyclable and can be disposed of either via the yellow bag (for plastic) or the blue/green garbage can (for waste paper). The recyclability of our materials is confirmed by the Cyclos-HTP institute. Conformity with the following standards is also certified:

What is the smallest size available for Flat Pouches?
Our online calculator offers a wide range of options for flat pouches, but not all combinations can be covered online. The minimum size varies depending on whether a zipper is to be integrated into the pouch or not. Contact our customer service for a quote outside of our online options.

What pouch materials are offered and what barrier do they provide?
We offer a variety of materials for our pouches, including mono-materials, paper/plastic composites, and plastic-free barrier papers. Each material offers specific protective properties that meet the requirements of different products. Additionally, our materials are available in various options, including white, transparent, metallic, and paper look. Moreover, we offer different surfaces, such as matte or glossy film.
All our materials contain a functional barrier, which consists of either EVOH, AlOx, or aluminum. This barrier protects the content from loss of aroma, the penetration of oxygen, moisture, and possibly UV radiation. Furthermore, our materials are certified recyclable depending on the composite.

How can I create a custom window for my pouch?
To create an individual window for your pouch, use a transparent film and choose the color "4/0-colored + white". The additional white ensures that printed surfaces appear colorful and opaque by being printed as opaque white under the printed design. This means that unprinted areas remain transparent and serve as a window. For a highly transparent window, we recommend a glossy surface material. A matt surface material makes the window appear milky. For more information on how to properly design with opaque white, see our print data guide for flexible packaging. Step by step instructions:
- Step 1: Download the appropriate print template for your pouch from our online shop. Then create the desired design in a suitable graphics program. We recommend for example Adobe Illustrator.
- Step 2: Create a new solid color called “HPI-White”. Then add all the elements that should be printed in white. You must then set all overlying elements of your design to “Overprint area”.
- Step 3: Save the finished print file as a PDF document and upload the document to the shopping cart under "Print data".

Choosing the right material: these are your options
There are two basic materials available to you, which serve as the basis for your individualizations. These are a white uncoated paper plus PE content and a brown uncoated paper to which PE has also been added. The paper surface is basically untreated.
Paper quality is basically defined purely by the raw materials and additives used. The uncoated paper is produced from pulp, which in turn is obtained from wood. The paper fibers are supplemented with fillers and binders. These additives improve or reduce the quality of the paper.
The higher the pulp content of the paper, the more stable it is. This can be clearly seen from the better running and printing properties. As a rule, special paper machines that run at low speed are used for the production of very high-quality paper or uncoated paper. This gives the pulp fibers enough time to become sufficiently entangled. In the end result, this procedure gives the paper greater stability and strength.
These are the differences between our white and brown natural Paper
With a thickness of around 110 μm, the uncoated papers we use are among the highest quality and particularly strong variants. If you opt for our brown uncoated paper, you will receive a paper grade with extremely good barrier properties regarding the penetration of oxygen or carbon dioxide. In addition, you and your products benefit from an excellent aroma barrier. That's why our flat pouches made of brown natural paper are predestined for filling with food or aromatic non-food products.
Our pouch solutions made of white uncoated paper also offer good strength and durability. However, the barrier properties are not quite as pronounced as with brown paper. On the other hand, this variant is 100 percent recyclable and therefore extremely environmentally friendly.
