How much weight can the corrugated board withstand?
We recommend our E flute primarily for product packaging or for shipping packaging with a low shipping weight. We recommend our B flute for large product packaging or for shipping packaging with a medium shipping weight. We recommend our EB flute exclusively for large shipping boxes with a heavy shipping weight.

Do I have to pay for the punching tool again if I order again?
If you are charged "One-time tool costs" in our configurator, these are normally only incurred once. Our system saves existing punches and does not charge them a second time. However, if the wear of a punch is so high that a new cutting die has to be ordered, these costs will be charged again with your next order. The service life of a die depends primarily on the number of shipping cartons punched (experience shows >250,000).
What do I have to consider when creating my print data?
To create the print data for your folding box, you need to follow some instructions. Please note the following information:

What do I need a protective coating for and what is his function?
A protective coating has various functions. On the one hand, it protects your print image from external influences such as scratches, liquids or dirt, and on the other hand, it ensures an even more beautiful print image with a glossy or optional matte look.
I would like a particularly small shipping box - what do I need to consider?
In our configurator you can configure both very large and very small shipping boxes. All sizes that can be manufactured from a technical point of view can be configured. Depending on the size and material, however, there may be problems in handling and packaging. Above all, we recommend the EB flute exclusively for medium to large cartons.
Can I choose a neutral return address?
We have optimized our order process especially for resellers and offer you the possibility that we send your orders neutral (without our branding on package or delivery bill) to your customers. Simply select "Neutral shipping / delivery bill" in the order process / check-out.

How much does a maxi letter box cost - and how heavy can it be?

The cost of your maxi letter box depends not only on the size and material, but also on whether the maxi letter box should be printed or unprinted. The weight of the maxi letter box determines the shipping costs. Don't forget to subtract its own weight - between approx. 50 and 150 g depending on the size - from the weight of your shipment. The lighter the goods, the cheaper: if your maxi letter weighs up to 500 grams, you pay 1.95 euros postage with Deutsche Post, for example. The maxi letter as a 5 cm high packaging solution is suitable for every industry. You can use it to send flat goods weighing up to 2 kg (Maxibrief Plus) at low cost. The dimensions of 35.3 x 25 cm are identical to those of the large letter, although the large letter is only 500 g and 2 cm high. The lid of the box is already bulging? This is counterproductive for protection and postage, as your maxi letter box becomes a small parcel costing at least 3.99 euros. But if your item fits exactly into the maxi letter box, the savings will increase your margin. In addition, low shipping costs are often the deciding factor in whether customers buy from you or your competitor. But what is possible within the permitted dimensions? E-flute stands for ultra-fine flute - with a corrugation height of 1.5 mm. The E-flute type ensures stable boxes with a load capacity of 10 kg. The smooth surfaces of E-flute maxi cartons are easy to print on thanks to the narrow 3 mm flute pitch. A lightweight E-flute maxi letter box helps your shipment to comply with the permitted 1,000 g and saves you maximum postage.

Maxi letter box as B-flute:

B-flute stands for fine flute - with a corrugation height of 3 mm. Very strong and stable, a B-flute maxi letter box is ideal for packaging even sensitive products weighing up to 20 kg. A flute pitch of 4.8 mm ensures even, easily printable surfaces. Due to higher corrugations and greater spacing, the air cushions within the B-flute corrugated board are slightly larger - for even greater edge crush resistance and burst strength compared to the E-flute.

Maxi letter box as EB-flute?

Possible yes, not really necessary: The EB-flute combines the advantages of the E-flute and B-flute, so that the load capacity climbs to up to 30 kg thanks to this material mix (flute height 4.5 mm) (maxi letters are rarely that heavy)! Good printing results can also be achieved on EB-flute - with a narrow flute pitch of 4.8 mm. Packaging made from EB-flute is the winner in terms of edge crush resistance and burst strength - ideal for shipping sensitive goods.

Which other service providers send maxi letter boxes?

If the post office and DHL go on strike, shipping service providers such as Hermes, DPD or PIN step in. Their range of services has certain special features. Are you opting for Hermes parcel shipping? CO2-neutral via compensation, you can have your small shipment in a maxi letter box delivered to one of the 16,000 parcel stores nationwide from 3.70 euros; your recipient will be notified by email. Shipment tracking? Only included for doorstep delivery (from 4.50 euros), liability for parcels up to 50 euros. Payment is made when the parcel is handed in or online, including parcel label creation (even without a printer), which saves you approx. 1 euro for many shipping formats. How big can the smallest Hermes parcel in the maxi letter box be? The longest and shortest sides together have a maximum length of 37 cm. As a parcel service, Hermes also offers you many other formats from S parcels to XXL parcels including bulky goods surcharge. Collection from your premises is also possible. Determine parcel class? You simply add the longest and shortest sides - the dimensions determine the price. What distinguishes the shippers PIN and DPD?

The service provider PIN advertises low prices and four-day delivery times to attract eCommerce business customers who frequently send books and goods. Interested? Drop your books and merchandise in a maxi letter box in one of the 550 green PIN letter boxes or hand in your maxi letter box at one of the 150 partner stores or one of the 18 depots. A consignment of goods up to 500 g costs 1.60 euros net, up to 1,000 g 1.87 euros net. Prelabel franking (sent free of charge) means that the postage is only calculated during the sorting process. Billing takes place later, by monthly invoice.

DPD wants to score points with private customers and immediate senders with its online price savings and range of services. The smallest DPD shipping option XS has a maximum size of 35 cm, costs 3.29 euros or internationally from 9.90 euros - depending on the country and delivery zone (DPD does not deliver to some parts of the country, such as Spain's Canary Islands). What is particularly in DPD's favor: all parcels must be rectangular, packed in cardboard and stackable. The maxi letter box meets these requirements perfectly!
