Chrome board

Chromo board is a high-quality, multi-layer folding boxboard made from primary fibre (wood pulp). Chromokarton is available from various manufacturers in a wide range of designs – for example, as single or multiple coated, uncoated or with a white or light yellow reverse side. The original name for chromo board was ‘postcard board’.

What types of chromo board are there?

Due to its structure and properties, chromo board is suitable for many different products and industries, including the cosmetics, pharmaceutical and food industries. Different types of chromo board are used depending on the product, application and type of folding carton. Here are a few examples:

GC2 Coated primary fibre cardboard, light yellow reverse side Front side well suited for printing and finishing.
GC1 Coated primary fibre cardboard, white reverse side Front and back well suited for printing and finishing.
UC2 Uncoated primary fibre cardboard, light yellow reverse side Front and back suitable for printing and finishing to a limited extent.
