Natural cardboard is not a specific type of cardboard that can be limited to the origin of the raw material, processing or colour. Natural cardboard is an umbrella term for particularly sustainable or sustainable-looking folding boxboard. Natural cardboard often contains a high proportion of rapidly renewable raw materials (grass) or waste paper. The term can be used to refer to grass cardboard, brown kraft cardboard and grey recycled cardboard, for example. All of these types of cardboard are particularly suitable for sustainable brand identities and specific environmental requirements. Due to the origin of the raw materials, most natural cardboard is not suitable for direct contact with food.
